GBDC donated assorted reading books to selected schools in the Akwapim South Municipality, Eastern Region

The Ghana Book Development Council (GBDC), on 6 February 2026, donated assorted reading books to selected schools in the Akuapim South Municipality, Eastern Region.
This initiative aims to promote reading among school children by providing assorted reading books to basic schools at no cost to the schools. Each of the schools received about 275 books to augment the school libraries and to promote reading.
The books were received on behalf of the schools by the head teachers, who expressed gratitude for the kind gesture.

- Aburi Demonstration Primary
- Aburi Anglican Basic School
- Kitase M/A Basic School
- Peduase Methodist Basic School
- Aburi Presby ‘B’ Primary
- Gyankama Methodist Basic School
